If you’re following us on Twitter, you might have noticed we’re workshopping a lot. We had a 3 day workshop with Adrian, Lawrence Archard and our friend Konstantinos Chalaris. After this workshop, we decided we couldn’t let him go and have made him Lead Designer. I met Costas in 2007 in Delhi at the Doors of Perception conference. He was just starting his MA in Architecture at the Royal College of Art. Many hotels, products and retail interiors later, I thought it would be good to have him workshop some new product directions with us. As a result we’ve completely rethought the aesthetic of the Good Night Lamp. I’m totally excited about what we’re developing and we’ll be showing you the latest changes in the next few weeks.
Konstantinos Chalaris is an Architectural and Interior designer. After completing his BA in interior design in Athens he moved to the UK in 2005 to continue his studies in architecture. In 2007 he graduated from the University of Brighton with distinction and was nominated to represent the University at the RIBA Bronze Medal awards. The same year he won the Sustainable Tourism award from the Royal Society of the Arts and was commissioned by the Design Council (Dott07) to visualize alternative ways for a sustainable future for the North-East of England.
In 2009 he finished his MA in Architecture at the Royal College of Art, and upon graduating he co-found Supernova Studio, a London-based creative consultancy delivering bold, compelling and idiosyncratic designs, which represent a response to the unique circumstances of each project’s context. Work includes brand-aware interiors, architectural & product design for hotels, houses and interiors in China, United Kingdom, Greece, Cyprus, Switzerland and Spain.
